Erasmus+ KA171: Staff Mobility
The Erasmus+ KA171 programme enables broadening of the existing student and staff mobility to selected Partner Countries outside the European Union. The purpose of extending regular Erasmus+ mobility to these countries is to deepen academic cooperation between European University Viadrina and its selected partner universities in Ukraine, Georgia and Kosovo. |
Who can be funded?
Viadrina staff members from all fields are welcome to participate in the Erasmus+ Programme.
Training mobility supports the professional development of higher education institution teaching and non-teaching staff in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences*) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at a partner university or at another relevant organisation abroad.
Examples of areas with eligible higher education staff:
- General & technical administration
- Library
- Administrative departments
- Faculties
- Finance
- International Office
- Public Relations
- Student Advisory Service
- Technology & Transfer
- Training
Examples of the training formats:
- Hospitation
- Job shadowing
- Study visits
- Participation in workshops and seminars
- Participation in language courses
You can find more information about the training offers here.
*Additional information on conference funding: If it can be demonstrated that new and innovative learning and teaching practices are acquired in the context of the mobility, the activity of the participating person in the context of the event plays a minor role for eligibility. More important is the type of event: participation is not eligible if a conference is dedicated to only one discipline.
The stay needs to take place at one of the partner universities.
Duration of stay
The stays abroad last a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 2 months, subject to availability of funds.
There is no application deadline for participation in the mobility with partner countries (KA107/171). Whether funding can be granted depends on the available budget and the number of applicants. If you are interested, please contact us directly, preferably around 3 months before the planed mobility at latest. As soon as you have our approval, you can submit the funding documents.
During the mobility
Based on the grant agreement, up to 100% of the allocated mobility grant is paid out at once. The stay abroad must be confirmed on site by the receiving institution. For this purpose, the Confirmation of Stay must be completed and signed in the receiving institution.
After your return
After your return, you have 30 days to hand in the Confirmation of Stay to the International Affairs Office and to fill in the Online Participant Report required by the EU. The link will be sent to you automatically from the EU database.
If you do not complete the report within 30 days, the EU reserves the right to claim back the grant amount already paid to you.
