Online Learning

Courses can be taught in both analogue and online formats, face-to-face teaching or hybrid teaching, i.e. blended learning. Online learning activities can be organised in an asynchronous manner, giving you time to prepare a work result for example. They can, however, also be organised synchronously, i.e. in the shape of virtual meetings in which you cannot only listen but also discuss or present something. The faculties decide on the manner in which a specific course can be taught.

This means for you:

• In the course catalogue you will find different types of courses which are held either online or on site in accordance with the current pandemic regulations. Whether a course is planned online or on site is indicated for each course in viaCampus.

  Whether an online course requires synchronous or asynchronous learning is indicated in the respective moodle courses which will be opened in October. Please refer to moodle for the latest information on course format and further details.

• Both online office hours and one-to-one office hours on site are possible. In case of doubt, ask the lecturer.

	Writing skills mentoring: Support and feedback The Writing Center offers one-to-one writing skills mentoring . If you would like feedback on your texts or support in organising your writing tasks, contact the Writing Center.
	Become a peer tutor We offer a two-level hands-on Peer Tutoring Training certificate program in different areas of key competencies.

	Digital Campus Get in contact with your peer students and find further campus information online: Digital Campus (moodle)
	Tandem exchange: Learning languages together online Tandem is a method of learning a language based on two people with differing mother tongues learning the language of their counterpart. In order to find ‘tandems’, we offer a tandem exchange. Learn more about this offer and visit the language Centre.
	Psychological consulting You are able to get advice about your problems and challenges, even if they have nothing to do with your studies, in open office hours or in the scope of a one-to-one confidential appointment.
