National Research Funding

The funding programmes run by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Federal Government are the principal sources of research funding in Germany. In addition, there are numerous organisations and foundations that are potential sources of external funding.

Advice and Support

The Office for Research and Graduate Education provides general information on national funding programmes as well as individual advice and support for those applying for external funding for research projects.

We provide advice and support on how to

• search for and select suitable sponsors and funding programmes for your project,
• draw up applications (timetable, cost projection and financing plan),
• and assist with international and national networking.

• the "Drittmittelanzeige" - the internal application processes including neccessary approvals and deadlines.
