We are happy to support all professors, lecturers and doctoral candidates who are interested in spending some time abroad as part of a research and/or teaching stay as well as for further training measures. Erasmus+ Program (EU)

Erasmus+ is a program of the European Union, which sponsors guest lectureships as well as staff training opportunities at european universities and companies. This includes a mobility grant and a compensation of travel costs.

Viadrina doctoral students can also complete a stay abroad for study purposes. You can find more information on our PhD mobility (PHD) website.

Erasmus+ KA171 for PhD and Teaching Mobility Outside of the EU

The Erasmus+ KA171 programme enables mobility to selected Partner Countries outside of the European Union. The scholarship supports PhD students, lecturers and staff of the European University Viadrina at the partner universities.

The funding includes a one-time travel allowance as well as a PhD scholarship or a mobility grant for teaching and/or for further and advanced training. 

Viadrina International Program – for Graduates (VIP)

The Viadrina International Affairs offers the Viadrina International Program – for Graduates (VIP) that is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the European University Viadrina. The VIP offers PhD students and Postdocs of the European University Viadrina and also international PhD Students the opportunity of developing an international research and career profile.
