Overview
Research
Projects
Research work at the Viadrina takes place in small and large, individual and collective working contexts, but always in concrete "projects". Projects are either publicly funded as part of the university structures or third-party funded by various funding organisations.
Publications
The Viadrina communicates its research findings in a wide variety of academic and popular media. They are reflected in the 'large' humanities monograph, in the 'classic' legal textbooks and major commentaries, in peer-reviewed international journals, in editorships of print and online anthologies, and in a wide range of popular science publications.
Research data
With its research data management, Viadrina addresses the requirements of research funding and scientific organizations as well as the needs of its researchers. Efficient methods and procedures are being developed to ensure the long-term usability of research data. With its research information system, Viadrina also provides a tool to make its research activities more visible. The research database (fdb) is a first building block of this comprehensive research infrastructure.
Integrity
The Viadrina is committed to upholding good research practice. In a guideline adopted by its Senate, it has formulated rules of good research practice (in German) which set the standards for its actions in this area. When dealing with specific suspicions of scientific misconduct, it relies on its Statutes on the Prevention of Scientific Misconduct and the Procedure in the Event of Suspected Scientific Misconduct (in German). With these statutes and guidelines, Viadrina implements the Code Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice (in German) of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
