The Faculty Appointments Office supports various stakeholders in their appointment procedures. The aim is to make the appointment procedures at the European University Foundation standard-setting and transparent.
Equal opportunities at Viadrina means that students and staff operate in a university environment that recognises diversity, focuses on potential and develops skills. At the same time, this reduces discrimination and creates a more diverse academic and working culture.
Diversity management (DiM) for students is about actively and consciously developing a culture that promotes and values diversity. Similarities and differences should be sensitively recognised, accepted and used as potential. DiM aims to make the university as non-discriminatory as possible through full integration.
The central office for the promotion of research and young academics at Viadrina provides information, advice and support for academics in their research projects.
The Department of Communication bundles external and internal communication at the European University Viadrina. Here, academic communication becomes tangible for society and current university events become visible. The department is also responsible for event planning and alumni support.
International students at the European University Viadrina are mainly supported by the Viadrina International Affairs department, which uses the results of the International Student Barometer for internal evaluation and further development of its programmes and services.
The task of the Strategy and Development Centre is to work together with the Presidium and the Faculties to drive forward the strategic development of Viadrina, to communicate these strategies internally and to organise controlling of the individual implementation steps.
