Center for Knowledge and Technology Transfer

The Viadrina's Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer, which is part of the network of transfer offices in the state of Brandenburg, uses professional structures to support researchers in their transfer activities and brings them together with interested small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Brandenburg.

Viadrina Founders Center

The Viadrina Founders Center at Viadrina supports students and employees in developing and implementing successful business ideas. To this end, it offers personalised advice and support from brainstorming and start-up preparation through to formal establishment. Viadrina particularly supports sustainable, digitalised start-ups and those developed in interdisciplinary and international teams.

Career Center

The Career Center supports the transfer of personnel to both regional and national companies and institutions. On the one hand, it supports students in starting their careers by organising relevant information, contacts and meetings in companies. On the other hand, it offers employers the opportunity to present themselves to Viadrina students and graduates, to make contact with them and to recruit them as employees.

Coworking Space

With its new coworking space, which is scheduled for completion in 2025/26, Viadrina is creating a space that combines meeting and learning opportunities with start-up space. The concept developed together with the City of Frankfurt (Oder) ensures that the coworking space can be used by founders and start-ups, is geared towards their specific needs and has an adequate infrastructure. In addition to the future coworking space on the central campus, another coworking space is already available on the premises of the Collegium Polonicum and the European New School of Digital Studies.

Fürstenwalde branch

In the presence centre in Fürstenwalde, set up jointly with the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, the Viadrina has a presence in one of the Regional Growth Cores (RWK), which is not home to a university of its own, but whose development can be supported by academic input - both in economic and technological terms as well as in terms of civil society.

Kulturkoordination Viadrina - Frankfurt (Oder)

The Cultural Coordination, which was jointly established and financed by the City of Frankfurt (Oder) and the Viadrina, gives the Viadrina an additional local presence in the twin city. It supports locally orientated student projects that are developed and implemented together with local partners in the spirit of service learning. Practice-orientated teaching, which has concrete events, festivals, exhibitions or other civil society projects in the twin city as a learning objective, is the hallmark of the Cultural Coordination.
