Research Funding

Viadrina offers its researchers practical support programmes. Its research department provides information on the many funding opportunities offered by various funding organizations, from the EU Commission to those of the federal and state ministries, DFG programs, and numerous foundations. It also provides internal instruments for funding research projects and support for applications.

Incentives

Viadrina researchers can apply for allowances from incentive funds for the successful acquisition of third-party funding. These can be provided from a support fund for research purposes as well as from an allowance fund for special performance-related pay for researchers responsible for projects. The procedure is based on the Guideline "Incentives for the successful acquisition of third-party funds for research purposes".

Third-party funding notification

Viadrina researchers who wish to acquire third-party funding from external funding institutions must submit a notification of third-party funding in accordance with the guidelines for handling third-party funds at the European University Viadrina before submitting their application to the funding body. Good research practice

The European University Viadrina is committed to upholding good research practice and implements the code "Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice" of the German Research Foundation (DFG) with guidelines and statutes adopted by the Senate. Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee, set up by the Senate in March 2015, examines research projects with regard to compliance with ethical standards and their scientific integrity. Here you will find all the information on which research projects must be reviewed and how applications for review can be submitted.
