Viadrina, as one of the most international universities in Germany, would also like to encourage you to study abroad for one or two semesters. A stay abroad is not only an important part of your studies at Viadrina and an important experience in your academic career but also a unique personal experience that you should not miss!

We help you to successfully complete your stay abroad, whether you want to spend a semester abroad in Europe (Erasmus+) or outside the European Union (Non-EU, Erasmus+ KA107), plan an international double degree or just aim for an internship abroad.

Possibilities of the Stay Abroad

International Double Degrees

The European University Viadrina maintains very close cooperations with several universities in and outside Europe, so-called double or multiple agreements. Students at Viadrina thus have the opportunity to obtain two to three degrees at the same time.

Erasmus+ (EU)

Erasmus+ is a program of the European Union with which students can complete stays in the program countries in other European countries. If you get a place at our partner universities in the Erasmus+ program countries, this includes a mobility grant and you do not have to pay tuition fees abroad.

Erasmus+ with Partner Countries (KA107)

The Erasmus+ KA107 funding as part of the Erasmus+ program enables mobilities to "non-program countries" - so-called partner countries. These are usually outside the European Union. Mobilities of students and doctoral candidates to and from Germany are supported. The funding includes a stipend as well as a travel allowance for study visits to Ukraine, Georgia, Russia and Kosovo.

Non-EU

You can spend a period of study abroad at all universities outside Europe with which we have concluded a partner agreement. You can find out which ones these include in our partner lists. You do not have to pay tuition fees at any of our partner universities.

Internship Abroad

Would you like to do an internship abroad? This is also possible within the framework of Erasmus+. The Career Center also provides support in the search for internships abroad and in questions of financing.
