Presidential Board
Presidential Board
The management of the European University Viadrina is the responsibility of a Presidential Board, which also forms the Executive Board of the European University Viadrina Foundation. It consists of the President, three part-time Vice Presidents, the Chancellor and the Deans of the three Faculties.
President Prof Dr Eduard Mühle
Eduard Mühle was elected for six years on 2 November 2022 and has held the office since 1 April 2023.
The President directs the European University Viadrina according to its constitution in his or her own authority and responsibility and represents it publicly. In the Presidential Board, he has the authority to issue guidelines and is responsible for the overall strategy of the university. The areas of strategy and development, university communication, appointment management and marketing report directly to the President.

Vice Presidents
Chancellor Robert Nissen
The Chancellor manages the administration of the European University Viadrina under the responsibility of the President.
The Chancellor is responsible for ensuring and developing an efficient university administration. He is responsible for the areas of Student Affairs, Human Resources, Finances and Facility management, which are organised in the Departments I-IV. The Legal Department, the Information, Communication and Multimedia Centre (IKMZ), the Viadrina Coworking Space and the Viadrina Dialog and Transfer GmbH are also directly assigned to him.
