At the Viadrina Center for Graduate Studies, we provide confidential advice on a wide range of topics related to academic and non-academic career development for those interested in doctoral studies, doctoral researchers (R1), or postdocs (R2/R3). The most common, but by no means exclusive, counselling topics include:

1. Questions about qualifications for permanent academic positions;
2. Questions about financing your academic qualification phase, from doctoral scholarships to third-party funded projects;
3. Questions about non-academic career development; 
4. Funding options for limited research projects such as conference journeys, publications, or research stays abroad.
