About us
The Department of Communication is responsible for external and internal communication at the European University Viadrina.
We provide academic communication for society, report on current university events, communicate with prospective students, current students and alumni, and inform the staff at the university.
We organise universiity events, compile publications and supervise guest groups at the Viadrina.

Exhibitions at the ViadrinaWe offer campus tours for groups of guests.
Guided tours for prospective and current students are offered by the Central Student Advisory Service and the Viadrina International Affairs department.
We provide information about Viadrina's corporate design and offer downloads and templates for employees.
Further information (internal website)We maintain an extensive photo and media archive from over 30 years of the European University Viadrina. For requests please contact the Department of Communication.
We take photos at official Viadrina events, create portraits for employees and image photography for the European University.
We also produce video content, particularly for the official social media channels of the Viadrina.
We coordinate the official internal communication with Viadrina employees and students. We produce a daily press review for internal Viadrina target groups; the internal employee newsletter ViadrINFO is published every fortnight.
Further information (internal website)At the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), numerous academics are working, for example, on the current situation in Eastern Europe, its history and society. In addition, the Viadrina also has expertise in the fields of Ukraine in the past and present and in the field of transformation research. Our three Faculties, the European New School of Digital Studies (ENS) and the academic institutions employ renowned experts who are available for interviews and background discussions.

As a showcase for the university, the news portal appeals to both, university members and the general public.

Read along now!Would you like to make your study programme more visible? Together with you, we will develop an appropriate campaign motif and support you in the implementation of advertising measures.
In close cooperation with the Faculties and Student Advisory Service department, we pursue the goal of increasing awareness of the Viadrina and communicating the study programmes on offer in the communication channels relevant to prospective students and their reference groups. We advise decentralised departments and support them with targeted advertising activities and materials to reach prospective students.
We organise the university's official public events (e.g. the Viadrina Award Ceremony, the Graduation Day) and edit the central public events calendar.
