On February 10, 2025, the President of the United States issued an executive order to pause the enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). A decision that has shaken the compliance community, considering that the FCPA is one of the milestones in global and national compliance development and one of the most effective tools in the fight against corruption. What are the implications of this decision for companies? Does it mean that bribery is now legal abroad? Do companies need to take action now? How will it affect the global compliance culture? In an expert talk, we will try to shed light on the initial assessments of this decision. During the discussion we will cover different perspectives by experts from around the world.
