This year's Viadrina Prize will be awarded to Dr Ewa Łabno-Falęcka - businesswoman, women's rights activist and initiator of German-Polish cultural exchange. The European University Viadrina is honouring her private and professional commitment to German-Polish relations. You are warmly invited to attend the award ceremony.
The Viadrina Prize stands for international understanding, peace and freedom in a common European home and for the values of the Viadrina, which was founded in 1991 as European University. The prize is awarded annually and is endowed with 5,000 euros.

The award ceremony will begin on Thursday, 15 May 2025, 4 pm in the Logensaal of the European University Viadrina, Logenstraße 11 in Frankfurt (Oder).

After the ceremony, from around 6 pm, we invite you to drink a toast to the award winner in the foyer of the Logensaal.
The event will be held in German and Polish.
Until 2021, the prize was awarded by the Förderkreis of the European University Frankfurt (Oder). Since 2022, the Board of Trustees of the Viadrina Prize Foundation has decided on the prize winners.
