Overview of various funding options
R1-R3: VCGS research funding
The VCGS continuously awards funding to researchers in the qualification phase for research-related projects (e.g. conference journeys, publication costs, data collection, etc.). All doctoral researchers (R1), postdocs (R2/R3), and non-permanent junior / tenure-track professors (R3) who are members or affiliates of the university are eligible to apply.

For postdoctoral researchers and junior / tenure track professors, the VCGS provides funding for individual coachings (up to six hours per year), which you can also apply for via our funding guideline.

All necessary signatures are obtained digitally throughout this process. You can also upload any additional documents required for your application in the form.
R1: Funding for your PhD
The VCGS advises prospective doctoral candidates and doctoral researchers on all funding matters and supports them in obtaining doctoral scholarships. Please contact us to arrange an appointment.
In addition, the VCGS is responsible for awarding scholarships from the graduate funding program of the State of Brandenburg, the calls for applications for which we publish on our website.
