Interkulturelle Germanistik│Intercultural German Language and Literature Studies (B.A.)

The programme

Intercultural German Language and Literature Studies at the Collegium Polonicum is an interdisciplinary degree programme that combines elements of literature, cultural studies and linguistics with practical skills and abilities in an intercultural context.

The focus of the degree programme is on:

  • intensive acquisition of German or Polish as a foreign language and other foreign languages
  • Literary studies - in particular contemporary German literature and its intercultural links
  • Central European cultural history in the context of transfer and neighbourhood discourses

Practical information

The secret for success in your studies lies in achieving a good balance between the demands of studying, the demands placed on oneself and the conditions and circumstances of everyday life. Harmonising everything is a learning process that is very individual. In the Intercultural German Language and Literature Studies programme, students also study at two universities at the same time and experience two different academic cultures. Students and lecturers have put together some useful information to make orientation easier.

Here you can find the Vademecum for students of Intercultural German Language and Literature Studies.

.

You can also consult the German-Polish university dictionary by Agnieszka Błażek, Aleka Rapti and Burkhard Schaeder, where you will find answers for various questions about German university life.
