Co-WOERK
Co-WOERK
Openness in the university context, i.e. the willingness to share one's own teaching/learning materials and knowledge with others, is a practice that is becoming increasingly important in today's networked world.
You are a teacher or employee from the Third Space and want to work in a more open and networked way?
You are interested in community and find it useful to regularly exchange ideas on current challenges?
You want to benefit from existing open educational resources (OER) in your subject area and integrate them into your teaching and working practice?
You want to acquire core skills in copyright use (CC licences), get to know platforms and current digital tools?

Aim of the project
The aim of the project "Community for OER knowledge transfer: Network of educational stakeholders (Co-WOERK)" is to establish a cross-state OER community for the areas of higher education teaching and vocational education and training. The project addresses the systematic expansion of OER skills among teachers and students at universities and in vocational education and training by bringing together OER stakeholders in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in a moderated Community of Practice (CoP). In this way, existing OER networks in the north-eastern federal states will be strengthened, new ones established and extended to the whole of Germany over the course of the project.
Co-WOERK organises monthly training and networking opportunities in the context of open educational materials, which are accompanied by incentives and the development of an OER ecosystem (repository, consultations, legal clearing house, OER policy).
In addition to the Viadrina and Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences, the universities of Potsdam, Rostock and BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg are co-leads of the network.
Open teaching and learning materials from the PROKODIL project
Teachers participating in the Digital Teaching Cooperation Groups (PROKODIL) programme have significantly advanced the use and production of freely accessible educational materials at Viadrina in the first funding phase from 2021-2024. Below you will find a selection of the OER created as part of the project.
