On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the European University Alliance ERUA celebrated its anniversary. In addition to a diverse online program with live streams from all partner universities, the event at Viadrina included an expert breakfast, an internal team workshop, and a reception for the ERUA community.

On ERUA Day, 12 December 2024, the first issue of the ERUA magazine "Catch-up" was published. It was developed by students and aims to showcase talents, ideas and stories from the ERUA network. News, opinions, research articles and much more provide an insight into what is going on among ERUA students and what has been achieved so far.

Innovative teaching and learning formats were the focus of the "InnoEducaTIC" conference and an ERUA working meeting at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from 20 to 22 November 2024. Viadrina was also represented and participated in the conference programme with a contribution on collaborative learning by Franziska Liebetanz from the Center for Teaching and Learning.

Spend a month researching at a university in the ERUA network, advance the own career and build an international network – Maria Carmen Staiano and Luca Torelli from the University of Macerata are currently taking advantage of this opportunity offered by the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) at the Viadrina. As part of the Visiting Programme for Early Career Researchers, the fellows also took part in the ERUA-Viadrina Research Week from 11 to 15 November.

Students from Lesbos and the Canary Islands, Warsaw, Paris, Sofia and Vilnius came together at Viadrina on 17th and 18th April to get to know each other and work together as part of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA). The focus was on exploring the ideas and aspirations students bring to the alliance and how they want to contribute to its development.

Since November 2023, Viadrina is officially a full member of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) and will be supported as a 'European University' within this framework. As an associate member of the international alliance, a delegation from Viadrina, consisting of staff and students, participated in the ERUA Summit on October 11th and 12th, 2023, in Roskilde, Denmark.

Viadrina has joined the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA). The European university alliance has been in existence since 2019 and is funded as part of the European Commission's call for the establishment of European Universities.
